Did not see enjoying a run-of-the-mill post-rock album this much. Or rather its first half. ASIWFA pushed every possible button on the first 5 tracks and made for an adventurous mathy rock album with plenty sweet licks and turns. Yet right after "Mother Belfast" it is as if the album devolves into its barest components that keep on slowing down, undoing the good of its first half. It's like a slow, painful fade-out.

If you have been following the band this far then you will hear exactly what you would expect from the band. The group?s seventh album is the noodly and easy going math rock and post rock fusion many people have come to love. For me it has a lot of the energy that the band was playing with on their 2017 album, which is nice. But this style can only get you so far with it being a very one-note listening experience.
