There's some cool stuff here, but these guys really struggle to sustain momentum and write
consistently engaging songs. Many tracks start off with a killer riff or two before meandering
aimlessly for a few minutes and anticlimactically fading out. The opener, From the Abyss,
exemplifies this perfectly.

I fuggin love this brand of metal, Chimaira-core or whatever you wanna call it. Between this and the new Daath we?re getting treated this summer. Really enjoyed their last record and this one is another step up.
