After about a decade of being let down by Kehlani's music, I can finally say I am a fan of something she has put her name and effort to. It is not too far from what she has been doing before, but somehow this time all the elements clicked just right. The plethora of producers now do not make a disorganised mess, but somehow compliment each other's sound, and Kehlani feels perfectly natural within this more liquid relaxed vibe. Even songs that start out not quite as striking turn out memorable or distinct in at least one or two aspects. Gigantic improvement over her past work and I am now all the more annoyed knowing she has always had this album in her but kept it back.
