Corny vocals and lyrics, excellent guitar. In
short, it's a David Gilmour album. Some of the
guitar rips really, really hard though. The
opening and closing tracks are awesome.

Despite my love for Pink Floyd, I never had the chance to listen anything from Gilmour's solo work. It appears that Luck and Strange is a family matter as the music composition and most of the instruments were played by the man himself, the lyrics written by his wife and both his son and daughter sang in this. David's trademark guitar sound and signature solos are all over the place. Despite this not being his "best album since Dark Side of the Moon" as he stated, it is still a lovely and elegant album. Recommendations: "The Piper's Call", "Between Two Points"

This felt like vintage Gilmour to me. The emotional guitar solos on songs like Between Two Points and Scattered really scratched an itch I didn't know I had. Overall, the songs feel well written and like there's meaning to them. Had a very nice time with this.
