Teramaze is a highly consistent and prolific band. From the albums Esoteric Symbolism to I Wonder, the band was having an ambitious evolution of their sound. However, it was feeling like they were getting a little bland lately, sticking to their general sound from I Wonder but with generally weaker tracks. My anticipation for new material has always continued to be there but I was feeling like I was curious what they were going to do without expecting anything particularly memorable, aside from a gem here and there. That has all changed with this album. This is clearly their most complete, and most satisfying album ever. Stylistically it is closest to I Wonder and Her Halo (the later of which it is a sequel to), but everything is firing on all cylinders here like never before. Everything is more melodic and more memorable than ever. There is more energy, more riffing, and more dynamic contrast than ever. The songs are long, but the compositions are tight and full of interest. This is a remarkable moment for Teramaze which has injected so much life into the band.
