3.0 good | ajcollins15 | February 29th 24 | The sophomore record from Jazmin Bean presents some solid ideas. Shedding the somewhat cringy trap metal and alternative metal elements in favor of anthemic and angelic chamber pop and indie pop brings a newfound depth to the tracks. The album flows seamlessly, with few dull moments to be found. However, my main gripe is its struggle to stand out amidst the multitude of albums in this style from the 2000s. The anthemic and early 2000s production on "Traumatic Livelihood" struggles to distinguish itself from bands like Oasis or Porcupine Tree. Nonetheless, it was a risk worth taking for Jazmin Bean, and I eagerly anticipate their future endeavors.
