Animations is one of those neo-prog instrumental bands that fuses progressive metal and jazz into a very nice listen. Right off the bat, you know there'll be a ton of wank, but at the same time there is emotion flowing through each song. The tracks range from 4 minutes all the way to 18 minutes, but each has its own mood so that the listener can tell which song is which and so that they do not get bored. Every band member is infinitely skilled on their respective instrument which is a must for a band like this, but they also know the lesson of when enough is enough.
