Die Hunns Tickets To Heaven is their second release on Disaster Records, their first being Unite. (Which I have not had the pleasure of listening to.) I received Tickets to Heaven on X-mas.

Die Hunns started out when Duane Peters, and some other punk-rockers from various groups recorded the album Unite. Since then they lost the original bassist and replaced him with Corey Parks from Nashville Pussy. The Hunns are now on tour in Europe. The should be back in the U.S. during mid-summer.

Die Hunns are:

Vocals---------------------Duane Peters

Vocals/bass/fire breathing--Corey Parks. (Yes she does in fact breath fire during shows.)

Guitar---------------------Rob Milucky

Guitar---------------------Jimmy Disco (Cool name.)

Drums---------------------Joel Ronamoe

--------------------------------------------------------------------

This CD contains 13 fast blitzkriegs that will blow your hair to the back of the auditorium, or if your school has a cafeteria and an auditorium in the same area, the cafetorium.

~Track by Track~

1. Hunns Anthem

This is the opening track, the signification that your journey to good music has begun. It has a nice grooving fit and nice drum beat into to get you banging your head, or if your not into banging your head, just tapping your fingers. Oh and it's instrumental too, I forgot to mention that. I love this song because of the drummer, I like his style of snare and the such. Thing is you need to listen to it fully to really get into it, if your one of those skipper's, then you'll get through this C.D. like shit threw a goose. So you might get bored with the song, if you do just bare through it.

2. Hate N' Love

The anthem leads into Hate N' Love with the bass and drummer going in together, the guitar picks up then Duane finally comes in with his god-like voice. The lyrics are wonderful, though it seems so short. And sometimes, (Since he did so many drugs.) he's really hard to understand, (Must be all the teeth missing.) so you might have to get the lyrics out. The music is much like the anthem, different riffs here and there. This is a good song, a great one to dance to. Despite the lack of difference in music and utter confusion of the lyrics, it scores well because I love Duane.

3. Ameta Nightmare (It's not a type-o, it's Ameta.)

Boy, this song will get you jumping and rocking right at the begging, Duane does a quick and deadly blow with the first verse, this is one of the best songs on this album, the guitar during the course is pretty sweet. There's also a break down during the song, which is also good. This whole song is great, the lyrics I love.

5/5

-----------------------------------------------------

4. North Pull

This is a mildly slower song compared to Ameta Nightmare. I really don't like this song that much, the music is great though, it's just, kind of, well, it lacks the energy that Duane has, maybe up the beat tempo. The lyrics are all right. There's nothing really bad with the song it's just I really don't like listening to it as much. This song also has a break down.

5. Tickets To Heaven (Title Song.)

This is that one song, usually in pop albums that is the only one worth listening too. Well it's quite different here; it's good, along with the whole CD. Now, to review it. This song is great, the subject is awesome, about how religion today is basically horse shit. The drumming is wicked, I love the snare. Duane as usable rocks the house with his voice, Disco and Milucky do some good strumming. Good job on the recording also.

5/5

------------------------------------------------------

6. Fire Sports (Crap.)

This is one of the songs I hate, not enough not to listen to it, but it's just, boring. The lyrics are really deep with a good meaning, the meaning though... I'm not sure what the hell it is. I think about old school skating, I guess. But Disco and Milucky do very well in this song, they stand out and play well. The solo in this is to die for. ~*Listening to it now, and rocking hard*~ Other than that I hate this song.

3/5

------------------------------------------------------

7. Hymn of Attila

One of the two short songs, in this album. It's basically... about Attila... The Hunn. The guitar is very cool in this song. You can dance to this song as well. The lyrics in this song are kind of weak. And the tone when the course goes is god awful, some one should teach Disco and Milucky to sing better. Though, it's still a good number to listen to.

3/5

-------------------------------------------------------

8. Amity Village

This song is the second short song, those it is three times better then Hymn of Attila. The singing is teh roxs. The lyrics are wicked, and the music is awesome. I love everything about this song. The breakdown is even cooler, I love what Joel does with the toms. He should get a freaking medal. It also sounds like they are saying "It's Emily, in the villages." So, that might be confusing.

5/5

--------------------------------------------------------

9. Sideway Heroes

It's a okay song. The singing is good, the music is also good. It's just kind of... blah. Some might like it some might not. I can listen to it once in a while.

2/5

--------------------------------------------------------

10. Read All About It

In the begging of this song Duane says "Shut up." It got me laughing, then I heard the mob voice, saying "Read all about it." Then I fell over, it sounds like a retard choir, none the less this song is good, the guitar in this is kind of lame, but Duane makes up for the sucking. Okay song, not one of the best.

4/5

--------------------------------------------------------

11. Wild Cards

I love the guitar in this song, dun-nunananananana dun-nunanananana. I love it so much that I just tried to write the beat, but I guess I screwed that up. The drums in this song are wicked, guitars really aren't the starts of this one like most times, it's mostly Duane and Joel. Anyway the song is about fighting. Though... during the song the phrase "We brought knives to the gun fight." pops up. Then Duane says, "Some body's shot." so it leads me to think that someone was dumb enough to bring a knife to a gun fight, I swear who the hell would do that? Other than that this song is a keeper.

4/5

--------------------------------------------------------

12. Union Yank (EXTREME WANK.)

Despite what the little message says this song rocks. (I put that in there for laughs, if any of you laughed.) This song opens up with Joel on the snare again, busting out some rudiments and old school snare. Once again the guitars is kind of lame till the solo, then it gets good. Duaneā€™s' lyrics area good in this. It's about how unions use you and the such. Good song, but not as good as the next.

3/5

---------------------------------------------------------

13. In Vietnam

This is the last song of the CD. And it's the best. It's great, it has some piano, guest pianist is Jerry Adamowiez, though his part is just 8th notes it adds an important filler for the song, during the course you have Joel using some maracas adding some nice light touch to it. Duane scored big on this Vietnam story song of a man named Hank. The lyrics made me feel sympathy for the character, (Yes that's right a punk-rock song made me feel for something, isn't it amazing?!?!?!?) I just love how Duane wrote it. The beat to this song is great. Disco and Milucky do a great job, I love what they came up with here. I still can't get over Duane and his lyrical powers. I love you Duane. This song is the most moving song on this CD.

10/5

------------------------------------------------------

~Final Thoughts~

All in all, there are about 3 crappy songs on this, but that shouldn't stop you from buying this great CD. You'll have to order online to buy it, they won't have it at your local Wal-Mart of Best-Buy. Duane Peters is the greatest punk-rocker, (I think.) in my lifetime.

This CD gets a 4/5

I hope you found this helpful and look into Die Hunns.

I'm out ya'll.

Yes, he was, he invented countless tricks, and was also the first to do a loop. (You know the loop thingy.)
