4.5 superb | zakalwe | October 20th 23 | Geezers in their 80s deliver a swaggering raucous slab of good old rock n roll the way it was meant to be played.
Staggering stuff that anyone and their mum can enjoy all the while the pitchfork crowd will sniff at it because they
cannot accept the fact modern bands and music is complete and utter tripe in comparison

4.0 excellent | StrizzMatik | October 26th 23 | I don't think anyone expected the Stones, a band considered past their prime 30 years ago , to put out a great record in 2023, let alone a late career highlight, but that's exactly what they did here. After the passing of founding member and drummer Charlie Watts, The Rolling Stones could've easily ended things with their careers and legacy cemented - instead, they got inspired, hired session drumming master Steve Jordan to fill in, and turned out their best record since the 80's. Mick Jagger puts in a staggeringly-great performance at 80 years old that puts kids a quarter of his age to shame, Keef and Ronnie Wood's guitar interplay is as exciting and ferocious as ever, and the songwriting hits virtually every era of the Stones with a fresh coat of paint. If this is the last Stones record (according to Keith Richards, it's not), it's an incredible statement to go out on for a band that most considered done.

more than it ever should have. The Rolling Stones
best album in over 30 years? I think so..

3.5 great | beamlith | October 27th 23 | This is quite good, shockingly good. You never like to see anyone hang their banner in the rafters, but this would be a very good album to sunset a storied career on. Time will tell if they have one more left in the tank, but this is a great contribution to their legendary discography.

3.5 great | xfearbefore | March 9th 24 | Wow, how does this not have a review yet? It's the Stones man, and it's been near six months since release.r"Bite My Head Off" is the Stones finally understanding punk, and it rules There's some real fire here, like that old primal fire we all fell in love with, but Andrew Watt does his best as producer to ruin everything, including soaking every second of Jagger's vocals in nauseating distortion and reverb where it isn't needed. Still, this is some of the best material the lads have written in decades, and a genuinely great album, defying all odds.

3.5 great | virpi | October 24th 23 | I did not expect to have that much fun with it. If this is their last one, it's a great sendoff. The production sucks, though.
