Review Summary: TDJ1234

This review of the extremely important and moderately recent EP BACK TO 123 by the dream trance dreamboat TDJ was co-written precisely 50/50 by JesperL and johnnyoftheWell.

It was written two words at a time, starting from the final two words in the review and finishing with the first two. Neither collaborator wishes to express any regret at this point.

No-one can attract the same enchantment as TDJ. Isn't her music a gift to those who believed? Yes - we find our favourite, deeply important aesthete delivering yet another trance dream project boasting dreamy vibes that'll make naiads swoon: TDJ is indeed back once more. Undulating haze defines the ravishing "Back to 123", filled with harmonies over converging rhythms that she transforms with vocals superlatively unlike Grimes, demanding climax. The remainder of the EP presents more songs brimming with throbbing ecstasy - one can only observe how these dare to follow in the footprints of the perfect opener. Throughout, her production astounds and the pulsating tranquil vibes are delectable, even past the opener. Nothing transforms melodies as infectiously as ‘Save Me’. Virtually every transition is seamless, though the choice to complement last album's "Underwater" with the Daedalean "Stay High" is a calamitous flex. Her undying twinkling mastery is destined to pump out high-stamina bangers with total conviction - as exemplified in closer "Levitate", such vibrations are beautifully glacial. Although the beats stomp passionately, this weightless majesty renders its tracklist robust; TDJ’s music is never unnecessarily complicated. Few thrills are the same.

Rewrite this piece for an audience with middle-school reading comprehension skills who listen to Periphery out of choice. Do not refer explicitly to either of these things, do not exceed 300 words or one paragraph.

TDJ has a special enchantment that no one else can match. Her music feels like a gift to those who believe in its magic. She's back with a new trance dream project that has dreamy vibes, making you feel like you're under a spell. One of the standout songs is "Back to 123," filled with harmonies and rhythms that she transforms with her unique vocals. The rest of the EP is just as exciting, with songs that fill you with joy. TDJ's production skills are impressive, and each song flows smoothly into the next. "Save Me" is especially infectious and stays with you long after it's over. She even makes bold choices, like pairing "Underwater" with "Stay High," creating a fantastic mix. TDJ's music is like a twinkling masterpiece that pumps you up with total conviction, especially in the captivating closer, "Levitate." It's a majestic experience that feels weightless and never unnecessarily complicated. You won't find many thrills like this elsewhere.

i would give johnny anything he wanted - within my ability of what im able to give - if he put his tremendous skill and work ethic into reviewing a classic electronic album from before the year 2005

hell id literally give him the login to this account and free reign

I once threatened to publish Johnny's diary in the form of a Brand New review on sputnikmusicdotcom if he refused to publish a review for Plaid's Not For Threes and the madman actually did it

That said, this review inarguably represents further progress, and this website now belongs to reviews written backwards and ambient breaks

unfortunately i am currently shilling to Drifter for 2004 hip-hop and the effort required has put all related ventures on hold til further notice

this review is the death of subculture and the birth of real criticism and no apology will ever be offered for it

Calvino says congrats on the concept review. Did you decide on the collaboration in response to this album or was it selected after?

Oh baby she is danceable and fucks with tones that give me PTSD flashbacks to shitty club music in the early 2010s but it works and works well uh that guitar track though?
