4.5 superb | Bro has djent in his pie | October 9th 23 | I'm just gonna call this type of stuff jazz fusion adjacent noodlecore from now, so if you dont like guitar noodling, you're probably not gonna like this record. Guitars are very Scott Carstairs of Fallujah fame (Scott's also featured in one of the tracks). "Saudade" really puts emphasis on fusion side of things with many of things sections being very jazzy. Theres not many memorable hooks on this album, but what this is able to do is flow like silk, like any good jazz record can. Undoubtedly, this is beautiful in its soundscapes, really giving off the imagery of a studio ghibli film. If you dig the likes of Plini, Covet or Scale the Summit, this is right up your alley. It's very noodly, "wankery", what ever you want to call it, but if you can see past that you're in for one gorgeous journey.
