Much better than that last record. Might be a bit all over the place stylistically but the songwriting is better, the new vocalist sounds a bit more comfortable, just a better record than I was expecting overall.

This album is a fucking mess. Decades, Losing
Faith, Tetragram and
World Domination are fantastic and if they
leaned further into the sound of those 4
tracks they might be onto something but, just
like the previous album, I feel like their
vocalist is trying way too hard to imitate the
sound of the previous vocalist and it comes
across as kind of... obnoxious and forced? It
just doesn't hit the same as Cult Drugs which
was where they peaked.

Yeah this thing has 10x the trash of their previous albums, and Praise... had 5x as much as anything before that. The end of this album is so bad its unbelievable, like to the point i wanted them to be spoofing. Still, this has a couple incredible tracks (Forever Soldiers... and Plague...). The straight-edge style short tracks mostly don't work until the last two (Blue North and Holy Unblack). But yeah, i mostly hate the pop direction. Kinda grosses me out. rFuneral Beach was so pure.
