Fews spade the post-punk and indie rock cross section while indecisively balancng both. Despite the stylistic whishy-washiness, the core of the album is thoroughly enjoyable, even if it is mainly front-and-back loaded and relies a little too heavily on selling the songs through conviction in performance, rather than the composition.
