Musically Film School have shoegaze down to a science. They create dense and vast soundscapes with the delay driven guitars and smooth basslines, but then the vocals are heard and the meh starts to kick in. The vocals on this album are sub par compared to those heard on the near perfect alwaysnever EP. With that being said the vocals aren't cringe worthy so if you draw your attention to the amazing shoegaze soundscapes instead of the mediocore vocals this album is still an interesting listen.
