4.5 superb | Aluktodolo | January 25th 23 | Puzzled a bit at the lukewarm reception this seems to have here. I think it’s a fantastic album, her most fully
realised yet in terms of atmosphere and production.

5.0 classic | herebedragons69 | August 25th 22 | A truly excellent signature work that elevates Zola Jesus once again above all previous work and sees her in good company with kindred spirits like Gazelle Twin, Fever Ray, and Chelsea Wolfe to name a few.

2.0 poor | ajcollins15 | June 30th 22 | I think the recent expansion and explosion of neoclassical darkwave and its mixture with genres like post-industrial and art pop make artists like Zola Jesus sounds blander than they might have originally sounded when she came out over a decade ago. Also for such a simple soundscape, the overall feel of the album comes off as cluttered and most of the tracks don?t come together all that well. Sadly I think Zola Jesus might need a drastic sound shift to bring her career back to the spotlight she once had.
