3.5 great | Mitch Worden EMERITUS | July 1st 22 | Shreddy-as-fuck tech-death. You've heard it before, you know exactly what to expect, but y'know? Sometimes I want gratuitous sweeps to run about for a bit, and this is pretty damn fun when it sticks to its guns.

4.5 superb | SpideryMan | May 20th 22 | Sweeping blast-beaten tech death that builds
soundscapes as soon as it wrecks them to
pieces. The pace can get insane but Exocrine is
not afraid to tone things down with slower
groovier tapping/riffing, or hiking the pace up
tenfold to achieve an archspire meets
psycroptic feel.
There is an everlasting ambience which
enshrouds the album, and wraps it in a
grandiose "marching towards intergalactic war"
concept. Prog definitely has its nerdy little
clutches on this record. For many tech
enthusiasts this was a heavily hyped
release, and it has managed to reach those
lofty expectations.
