Review Summary: Surprisingly beautiful blues rock guitar shreds!
Rejoice, my fellow guitar maniacs as MJF Project is here to deliver the finest brand of guitar shred since the inception of the genre.
Behind the mysterious moniker stands the impressive guitar virtuoso, responsible for the resurrection of guitar hero tiger style. New EP goes on with the chosen creative direction and offers a short and entertaining ride through the world of guitar-centred music.
All the cogs are intact - crystal clear sound, warm tone, lots of skill, long tracks, rooting in the classic school of pop/rock. You are invited to experience the transition of Joe Satriani’s style into the direction of elegant Steve Vai vibes with a touch of Eddie Van Halen. There is also a somewhat acoustic surprise, that opens up a breathing window for an intensive closing part full of fusion soloing (which is expected).
This second EP is released under the name “Rocky Vistas” which is exactly how it sounds. The feeling of an old dusty road, ups and downs, a moment to smoke a cigarette and just breathe and enjoy the view. And keep driving into the New Day with the closing track.
A real gem for anyone hungry for G3 style, musical sportsmanship and technical guitar obliteration.
