I discovered this album a little over twenty years ago and it still haunts me. At first glance it's not much - pre-Dungeon synth in a way, or what was simply called "atmospheric" at the time, sometimes very soaring, sometimes very epic with percussion and war cries. And also, something original it seems to me, entirely instrumental tracks, minimalist and melancholic, with the guitar added with chorus and reverb. Those to tell the truth are my favorites, even if I really like "Arkona" or "Za Pami?? Dawnych Dni". Perunwit instills, voluntarily or not, by its distant, muffled, lo-fi, amateur sound, a melancholic, nostalgic, lonely atmosphere, like the soundtrack of a wandering in the forest and the countryside, amidst the remains of an immemorial past. I really like the black and white photos that accompany the CD and in general the photos of the Polish BM scene of that time. One has the impression to see the photos of a forgotten people, far away, still barbaric, tribal, and without any doubt the leader of Perunwit is one of their high priests.
