To my great surprise, what appeared at first glance as a diluted indie pop album so nostalgic for the trends of give-or-take 5 to 10 years ago, turned out to be a mostly packed hit factory. So many cuts here are earworms like nobody's business. The trouble is, however, that the band tries to tackle some pretty serious and heavy subject, but their lyricism is nowhere near the level of maturity required. There are songs that are gold-cut, with impressive vocals, fun instrumentation, great melody, but get bogged down by the listener being able to hear what they are actually singing. So expect that coming in. Otherwise enjoy this gentle breeze of warming pop tunes. (also extra bonus points for the album cover)
