I can tell these guys have potential, but I don't think they knocked it out of the park with their debut. My major gripe is that this album doesn't feature a single catchy hook or memorable melody. It's good, but it could have been much better.

This has a good chance of making it pretty high up my year end list. It's reminiscent of the Manticora album that was released last year, but a little simpler and defined and not attempting the grandiosity in that endeavor. Either way, I found this to be deftly enjoyable and goes pretty hard at times.
