2.0 poor | ChaoticVortex | May 30th 19 | A very rough start for one of the best european stoner/psychdelic band. It has some flashes and passages of the greatness that definies their work but the songwriting, the vocals, the rhythm changes and riffs are all over the place. And the mixing makes the whole package come off as a dissonant and almost annoying jumble.

2.5 average | MassiveAttack | August 11th 09 | Its interesting to see where a group comes from after listening to their more recent material. Sure the instrumentation is essentially here, that's what makes Colour Haze so good, but the fact the vocals are practically all over the place and are by far the worse thing about Chopping Machine doesn't help one bit. Their later material would finally find them perfecting that art, thankfully. Pass this up, but if you're into Colour Haze it isn't bad to see how far they've come.
