Review Summary: Free you say? It can't be good! Oh wait, it is.
Leak At Will, the free ep Atmosphere released last year as a thank you for all our years of support.
I know track-by-tracks aren't very popular here, but it's a 7 track ep, you know?
1. C'mon
Fun tune about an unnamed dude. Talking about how we was basically the class clown growing up never taking anything or anyone seriously. Not givin' a f*** one might say. Has a nice drum lead beat. 4/5
2. They Always Know
Much more serious track about another unnamed person, this time female. Talks about all the sh*t being thrown her way. Another drum lead beat this time with a xylophone that really adds to the atmosphere 3.5/5
3. The Ropes
About Stephanie's little feminine mofo cousin. Basically talks about how they showed him the ropes. Making/helping him become who he was and what we do and why. Nice trumpet that really flows with the song. 4/5
4. White Noise
Basically a big f*** you to everything and everyone in todays media. Calling pretty much everything on the tv sh*t. 3/5
5. Feel Good Hit Of The Summer 2
You're either going to love or hate this. Fun song about drugs and how he doesn't like any of them other than weed. Also gives a sorta good message to always take them in moderation. Nice. uplifting beat throughout. 4/5
6. Mother's Day
Sad song about a mother who has lost both of her kids, (one died, the other is in jail.) The first verse is about her and how she feels bad about it all and not wanting to bother anyway with her sorrow. The last verse is about her son in jail and him dealing with his own personal issues and problems. Moody beat on this one. 4/5
7. Millie Fell Off The Fire Escape
Short song reminiscent of Slick Rick's Children's Story. About Millie who was running from the cops after from only what I can assume murdering someone. It ends with her well, falling off of the fire escape after having a cop screaming for her to get down. Losing her balance and falling after looking back at him.
Dark, moody beat follows this one. 3/5
Final rating: 3/5
In conclusion, this is a pretty good ep brought to us by Minnesota's favorite. All the quality of something you'd have to pay for, without the cost.
