Coming off three excellent albums previous to The Adventures of Panama Red, there was some changes in the band. Their self-titled album is arguably their best album, but this one is still good. The first album had Jerry Garcia on pedalsteel and banjo, Buddy Cage replaced Jerry Garcia on their second album Powerglide. The New Riders are one of the best affiliated to the Grateful Dead.

This album is very good, and the title track is great. Catchy as hell too.

Very catchy, Lonesome L.A. Cowboy is another "popular" song on this album. Not as catchy as Panama Red though.

Never heard of this band but their band name is quite cool.
