3.0 good | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | December 27th 21 | Blanck Mass goes Haxan Cloak with avantgarde field recording mixtures; the results are as endearing, as they are eerie. They are also somewhat tedious and make you scratch your head at what the statement behind it may be.

3.5 great | ajcollins15 | March 4th 21 | While listening to this rather Avant piece of music there is a lot of thoughts that come to mind. First being tranquility and hypnotism followed by the fear of looming and so on. This record looks at the pain one feels, and the waving effects of that pain. This is done through various field recordings and ambient synths/drones. For being such a short album (2 tracks at 41 minutes), it is a rather cathartic and magnificent listen. There are a lot of great ideas laced through the album to show the progression and flow of what pain is like and the human experience of pain. However, where this album falls is how bland some parts can be compared to others. I feel the progressions and overall idea is solid but there are parts that go on for too long orbits that I wish were more fleshed out. Also ?Phase I? is significantly outshined by the darker and more explosive ?Phase II?. Phase II has more noise and industrial elements that make it a more intriguing and memorable listen.
