I was hopeful for this project due to his thoroughly impressive jailphone album with JoogSZN and the recent success of post-incarceration records from rappers like Gucci Mane. Unfortunately, We Know The Truth feels rushed. Drakeo sounds bored on most tracks, picks several subpar beats, and often repeats the hook of each song far too many times. Two of the album's biggest highlights are bars from featured artists $tupid Young and Tee Grizzley. Hopefully a more thoughtful album from this very capable artist will come in 2021.
