Are you kidding me? You're telling me you're gonna hear those drums at 2+ minutes in to Track 2 and not instantly give these dudes $7 on Bandcamp? Since it's a soundoff, I'll close with a lasy comparison: halfway between Imperial Triumphant and Wormlust on the mindfucky, atmospheric, death-inspiring black metal wizardry, and the love child of Ulcerate's and Deathspell Omega's hazy vortex of death.

Skaphé is relentless. But in that ruthless relentlessness they thankfully manage not to encounter the same pitfalls some of their stylistic peers do. That being utter repetitiveness. Skaphé know how to spice up their songs melodically, so that they don't sound stale after a while and one actually has reasons to come back.

Wild, chaotic and gorgeously distorted: the Icelandic formation's third creation has a really dense and dark atmosphere which flows in a very unpredictable manner - and I love it. It has a bit Dodheimsgard-ish edge I can't really explain (maybe the vocals?), but I'm certainly hooked.
