Review Summary: Taking pop-mosh to new lows.

Eatmewhileimhot! are set to be part of the next round of bands that will be taking up wall-space at your local Hot Topic with their neon slime merchandise. Formed by Christofer Drew, singer for the androgynous scene pop band Never End Never, Eatmewhileimhot! are tailor made for the latest generation of Warped Tour attendees that have been raised on the likes of Breathe Carolina and A Day To Remember.

Just a few seconds into Eatmewhileimhot!'s All My Friends its pretty clear that it can be easily described by one word: gimmick. The Missouri four piece have made sure to touch all of the key areas that will assuredly garner them fans among the newest generation of scenester kids. Much like their peers in other pop-punk by way of br00talz acts such as A Day To Remember, Eatmewhileimhot! spice up their by-the-numbers pop-punk sound with ample bro-downs and glitchy electronics, playing into all of the clichés that make fourteen year olds bring the mosh and everyone else turn away in disgust. What makes this worse is that when the band show off their pop side its actually not that bad. While it is generic as all get out, it is still plenty good enough and packed with enough catchy hooks, both musically and vocally, to get a little foot tapping action going on, but as soon as Eatmewhileimhot! appear to be on a roll they shoot themselves in the foot by harshly transitioning into a stale and played out hodgepodge of antiquated metalcore riffing that is painfully reminiscent of every local high school band that played the hardcore night at your local venue circa 2004.

All My Friends is an absolute mess. By trying to custom fit their pop antics for the mosh pit, Eatmewhileimhot! end up sabotaging their own songs. For every moment where they appear to almost get things off the ground, they take two giant steps back making them nothing more than the pop-punk equivalent of Iwresteledabearonce.

So now even the contributors are shortening up their reviews!
Haha, no problem with it really. Sounds like there's not a whole lot to say about this.

Oic. Hmm. I hate school. All sites that stream music are blocked and I can't find a proxy that isn't blocked. Oh well. Probably not missing out on anything, haha.

Great review. I don't know if I'm familiar with "pop-mosh". Are there any bands worth looking into or that I may have already heard?

A Day To Remember and Four Year Strong are the first bands that come to mind. basically its all like rehash of New Found Glory songs with some breakdowns and hardcore vocals.
