Somebody I met at a party heard that I was a big metalhead so they played this for me. I had never heard of the group prior to that listen, and I hope I never have to hear this again.
Simply more MTV driven "metalcore" with nothing remotely interesting. Lame.

"The Poison" came out a little less than two years ago, but Bullet For My Valentine have been met with much success in that amount of time. From going past Gold status with "The Poison", to touring with Guns N' Roses, Bullet appears to be one of the most famous metalcore bands of the 21st Century now in that short a time, and they deserve the status too. "The Poison" doesn't bring anything new to the table, but the vocals (both singing and screaming) are very appealing, the whole album doesn't get old much, and the guitar work is a fun listen as well (although made out to be much more than it really is). The only thing that really isn't welcome here are the trite lyrics. Now, most band really don't have good lyrics, but Bullet takes mediocrity to a new level with theirs. Still, "The Poison" is an album definitely to consider purchasing some point down the road for all metalcore fans.

Guilty pleasure. This band got me into metalcore - of course they aren't as heavy as other metalcore bands, but melodic. And I liked that. Not all songs are great but some are excellent - Tears Don't Fall, Hit the Floor, Suffocating, Room 409. I don't really understand the hate revolving around this band, the music is great - there are solos and instrumental sections in most songs and they are excellent. They have an awesome drummer too.

Good post-hardcore. Britain strikes again. Screaming and clean vocals, great guitar, all well placed. Recommended: Tears Don't Fall, 4 Words (To Choke Upon), All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)

This album is amszing every song is awsom (exepte the end) this album has no reason to be dissed and Matt has awsome lyrics .
the guitar is amazing and so is evry thing eles and if your looking for the good songs than listen to 4 Words (To Choke Upon)
and room 409 and All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)
and Cries In Vain this cd kicks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While this album is good the first "hand of blood" was fantastic and is much better that "the Poison" even though half the tracks from H.O.B are on it

ok first of all this is one of the bands that i acually like all of there songs!!!! this band has great guitars and very catchy vocals and the screaming is sooo good it gives me chills hahaha well what can i say there one of my favorite bands out there
