4.0 excellent | GamamJ | August 31st 20 | A lovely series of quartets dedicated to classical composers/musicians as well as some of Corea's jazz influences. The idea here was to structure the album like classical ecords are done, containing numerous for example string-quartets by a specific composer. Corea however does this while staying true to jazz instrumentation creating some of his best work. The first quartet, and second part of the last one in particular show Corea at his best, taking complete freedom from the harmony.
