3.0 good | jmh886 | October 18th 20 | Westside Gunn is not a good rapper, but he gets good beats and excellent features so his albums are enjoyable. So somehow he tricked the world into being successful.

4.0 excellent | elephantREVOLUTION | October 15th 20 | Hearing Slick Rick rap in 2020 gives me life. Also that 8 minute posse cut with no drums is real nice

0.0 | Red D | November 18th 20 | Westside is obviously very proud of it of his first major label LP. Yet WHO MADE THE SUNSHINE is less a showcase for him than it is for his collaborators. On the flip side it shows his ability to make music with multiple different artists without compromising his style and signature sounds - but he does let them take over more often than not in terms of performance. Unfortunately it all mostly comes down to the rap performance of the people involved on the album because of how bare the instrumentals are, almost exclusively based on static loops and boom bap. We have here an album where rapping is front and center, and its main protagonist doesn?t really sound in charge.
