Another weird nu-metal/djent hybrid with a ton of creepy atmosphere that usually gets destroyed by all the nu metal parts. Not as good as their last album, but definitely a little more melodic and easier to get into. If they'd drop the nu metal, I think they could take their oppressive sound to another level.

A lazy combination of the latest trends in the scene - nu "metalcore" and djent riffs - leads to an album that isn't all that unique or interesting. The vocalist is clearly still learning how to properly scream, evidenced by how frequently he sounds like a pterodactyl, along with sounding almost bored when doing the weird spoken word/rapping. There are almost some cool atmospheric parts, but the mediocrity of everything else destroys any momentum that is generated.
