2.5 average | Doublez38 | October 2nd 19 | Confetti is not a bad album, but Jack Harlow looks too much like Russ or Tyga, without really having too much argument to stand out. Overall the album is coherent in its subjects, also in the atmosphere which is dictated by OVO style sounds, but it's too simplistic, sometimes too clean. Finally I only keep Heavy Hitter and Thru The Night.

3.0 good | aaronrkc | September 20th 19 | The first half of this album is weighed down with woozy pop R&B love-and-heartbreak songs that hardly work (aside from a choice Bryson Tiller collab). What made Harlow most exciting to listen to on previous efforts were his invigorating, high-octane flows. Those are largely absent on "Confetti," but fortunately, as the album progresses, a more introverted, confessional style emerges that's nearly (but not quite) as intriguing. A worthwhile listen from one of Louisville's foremost talents.
