Indeed, plenty of concept albums fall victim to their own pretentiousness. Blindead, however, manage to accurately communicate to the listener the feelings one goes through when taking another person's life. The feelings, the stages and the results are all brilliantly presented. Perhaps what would have made this a classic record would have been with the integration of the more melodic side of the band, as seen in the opening song "Phaze I: Enlightenment". Still, this is an epic record that deserves to be recognized and I will continue to listen to for quite some time.
