Look, I know this project features members past and present of Bal-Sagoth, but that doesn't stop me from thinking of this release as little more than a second-rate Cradle of filth. It's decent but honestly unremarkable.

I've been doubtful, but the grandeur of Bal-Sagoth truly does live on with Kull. A very rewarding listen for old fans like me who have been looking for a similar band in all those years.
