Minneapolis quartet Off With Their Heads deliver 16 minutes of energetic punk on their 8 track EP 'Hospitals'. Upbeat, ferocious & passionate, the band distinguish themselves with rather dark & depressing lyrics. Yet, the music is deceptively melodic & catchy, with the tremendous bass-lines & propulsive drumming impressing. Meanwhile, out front, the gruff - but always understandable - vocals of Ryan Young delivers a bunch of shout-along refrains that are sure to go down a treat live. It's brief & front-loaded, but 'Hospitals' is a promising introduction for these talented punk rockers. Recommended Tracks: Die Today, Theme Song & Your Child is Dead.
