Spot on title, it's as if it describes the downward spiral of the revival thrash movement from the late naughts to the present; yeah, looking for top tier new thrash nowadays is like searching for empathetic humans with Diogenes' torch. Within the described environment, Shrapnel sound like the equivalent of an oasis in the genre's scorching desert. Maintaining their elaborate heavy/speed metal course set by their sophomore full-length, they attack the moderate ailments of the sound work therein, ending up with a triad of neck-breaking new material, plus an awesome reprise of "No Saviours" from the namesake EP. Keep it up lads!!!
