Kinda like if the first Best Coast album was more lo-fi in its production, more direct and punk-influenced in its songwriting style, and ditched all the beach and surf imagery. I love it and I'm ashamed it took me this long to listen to an album of theirs. I can see them playing a gig with The Men or Iceage in Brooklyn at some point in the early '10s Pitchfork indie rock heyday or a SXSW showcase when those still had a chance of being fun or cool.
