I cannot remember the last time a pop album left such an unpleasant aftertaste and was as irksome as this. The strange thing is that I can't quite define what is the egregious thing this album commits. Nothing profoundly offensive is said, no horrible backstory overshadows the album, no poor musical choice is by any metric out of the ordinary. But what demolishes any semblance of 'good' here is the amalgam of dreadfully tasteless production choices, boring and irritating instrumentation, toothless lyrics and nauseating song-writing. It's a shame, I remember their debut showing quite a lot of potential, but this downward trajectory seems to have hit its target and exploded in a blast of shit. I'm sorry, I really am, but I cannot stand this.
