Look, if you can completely floor someone these days with just a standard atmospheric black metal album, you have my admiration (someone is me). Acathexis have here some beautifully intense material. Damn.

Those vocals... Dany Tee?s voice is just something to behold in how versatile and intense they are. The guitar tone is simply beautiful and the drums and bass (yes, the bass is actually fairly audible!) are no slouch either.rNot a second is wasted in pummeling the listener with such pure and raw emotion. The lyrics are shockingly poetic in a genre that tries so hard to hide behind edginess and trve kvlt coldness. This is genuine pain made cathartic with the power of music. Listening to this makes my heart want to burst having overflowed with the emotions that I buried deep to forget. This is the first black metal album to bring me to tears and that?s really an accomplishment.

pretty much top tier quality in terms of atmospheric bm. kind of a cross between what Fuath was going for and the song to song internal progression of bands like Der Weg and Ash Borer

Veins Hollowed is a very tasty song (I use 'tasty' in the same way I would describe a soup made of tears, menstrual blood, and sad memories as 'tasty'). The after taste of the intro alone sets up the pins to be knocked down by the gargantuan sound of the acrimonious middle - absolutely worth your time; time and time again.
