Such monster riffs and soaring melodies! I just cant help but feel the vocalist should be singing
over most of it. Even when they strip it back and come in with the plucky clean guitars and
ambiance with some light percussion, i'm like "oh yeah here comes the crooning, lay it on me".
NOPE. He comes in with the same shouty highs he uses for the nearly the entire album. He gets
close to singing with his pitched shouts sometimes. And the maybe two times he sings, its doubled
with a screaming track at the same volume. It's a shame. For a band this melodic it really needs
to be half and half sing/scream, at least. The songs just run together because of all this. The
impressive guitar noodling and solid grooves can only carry a song so far.
