Before Mary J. Blige there was Phyllis baring her soul about the demons that permeated her life. Unfortunately she wasn't able to overcome them like Mary, but she left behind some incredible music with this record being her best and most critically acclaimed. Her version of Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do for Love" is the only one that stands toe to toe with the original.
