A masterful display of the fusion of electronic and contemporary classical music made in tribute
to the humble everyman, A Portrait of John Doe ranges from transcendental to intensely
bizarre.
The only downside is that the closing track 'Requiem' feels ill-suited as the album's finale;
given the feeling of closure that the previous three tracks provide is immaculate. Regardless,
A Portrait of John Doe is one of the finest, if not the best, records of the year so far.
