Release Date: 2003 | Tracklist

A Static Lullaby formed in 2001 and played local shows until they signed with the label ferret records in the summer of 2002. They produced their first full length debut release ...And Don't Forget to Breathe which followed their self-prodced "Withered" EP. They are a blend of emo, hardcore, and maybe some punk. This album sounds alot different then their newest release Faso Latido. I also think this album is alot better too.

Lineup
Nathan Lindeman-guitar
Joe Brown-vocals
Phil Pirrone-bass,vocals
Dan Arnold-guitar, vocals
Brett Dinovo-drums

1. Nightmares Win 6-0
2. Love To Hate, Hate to Me
3. Withered
4. Lipgloss and Letdown
5. A Sip Of Wine Chased With Cyanide
6. We Go To Eleven
7. The Shooting Star That Destroyed Us
8. A Song For A Broken Heart
9. Annunciate While You Masticate
10.Charred Fields Of Snow

1. Nightmares Win 6-0
For the first 45 five seconds you here some sort of screeching noise then comes in Brown screaming. The verse is okay not bad it picks up when the chorus comes and Arnold starts to sing. The guitar work is pretty good not a bad song. 3/5

2. Love To Hate, Hate to Me
This might be the most poppy song on the record but its still a good song. The guitars play some nice catchy rifts and it has an okay chorus which then follows up with a quick catchy solo. 3.5/5

3. Withered
This is probably one of the best songs on the cd. It starts of with the two guitars trading off and Arnold singing the verse. The screaming and singing blends in great in the chorus. The verse and chorus repeat and then comes this nice slow solo. The chorus repeats again and is followed up by another descent solo. 4.5/5

4. Lipgloss and Letdown
This is the single off the album and not a bad song. It starts off with Brown screaming then comes just the bass and drums in while Arnold sings the catchy verse. The bridge leads up to the best part of the song the outro where you can here Brown scream well I didn't want it this way while Arnold sings. The guitar riffts I think are perfert for this ending to a great song.
4.5/5

5. A Sip Of Wine Chased With Cyanide
This is the best song off the record. It has well built verses, catchy choruses, powerfull breakdowns, and even a very good solo at the end which sums up this perfect song. There is nothing else to say
5/5

6. We Go To Eleven
This song probably stands out from most of the other songs on the record. I can't think of anything to descrbie it but it's a good song.
4/5

7. The Shooting Star That Destroyed Us
This is the next best song that stands next to " A Sip Of Wine Chased With Cyanide." It starts off with a perfect intro and verse which build it up to the chorus where Brown starts to scream. The next verse is vere catchy with sliding octaves and palm muting. It next leads into this very catchy bridge. The best part of this song like " Lipgloss and Letdown" is the outro which has Arnold yelling whoah! and a guitar solo behind it.
5/5

8. A Song for a Broken Heart
This is not the best song but I like it alot. It starts off with some palm muting and which is then followd up by Brown's screaming which is found on alot of the other songs on the cd too. The best part I like about this song is the verse which has the muted guitars and Arnold singing some pretty catchy lyrics. 4/5

9. Annunciate While You Masticate
This is probably the worst song on the cd. The only thing I like about it is the intro. 2.5/5

10. Charred Fields of Snow
Not a bad song to end a good album. It starts off with Brown screaming as usual, but the verse is what stands out I think. The chorus is okay but the best part of this song is the verses to listen to.
4/5

This is not a bad album to get if your a fan of this kind of style of music. The songs do start to sound a little like the same but still good to listen to. I would give this album a 3.5/5 not bad. Rate this reviw please.

I dunno what you think, but I found this album pretty dull and uninspiring, it sounds exactly the same as every other band out there. The guy is a pretty sick screamer though in parts of the album when you compare him to the whiny yelps of most other bands out there, and yeah, the two you mentioned are definately the best songs on the record.

Decent review. You could've gone into a little more detail.

Typical screaming band about the same old things any other band does.

well maybe its just me, but i think these guys are a bit different from other screaming bands. i love this cd. the lyrics, if you actually take the time to listen to them, are quite a bit diffferent from just talking about bad relationships and crap like that. the lyrics are weird at moments, but pretty d*mn good!

the review is also well written.

I found this cd to be pretty entertaining at first, but that wore off pretty quickly. Whithered and A Sip of Wine... are both outstanding songs tho.

I find that the drumming is the highlight of the album for me. The screaming is indeed very good when he doesn't sound like he's about to cry. But screaming has never been able to save a cd for me. .

The review is decent, if not a bit inconsistant at times. This Message Edited On 12.07.05

my favorite tracks are "We Go To Eleven," "The Shooting Star that Destroyed Us All" "Sip of Wine.." and "Love to Hate, Hate to Me" which is not the most pop-ish song on the album.. i think at least

I hate how Joe sounds like he's dying in We Go to Eleven. It sounds really pathetic. That's something that could describe the song.

I used to love this album when i was in 6th grade....

now that i listen to it its typical and generic

and joe browns screaming is horrible and annoying they should honestly get rid of the guy he adds nothing there better off with dan playing guitar and singing he can sing and scream a hell of alot better than the other guy

Faso Latido was a huge dissapoitnment. Ended up giving it away. Just found this and the only tracks I can still stand are Withered and The Shooting Star. Rest is pretty much a bad Glassjaw.

Faso Latido was just akward, them trying to maintain the "screamo" sound while going in a pop rock direction was terrible.

This release though is probably one of the better "screamo" records to come out at the time of the screamo surge as I like to call it.

Their S/T is absolutely shit aswell.

At least a semi-decent band, Sleeping giants, came out this.

this album is the best example of what straight up screamo is.

The demo of The Shooting Star was actually the first scream i ever listened to; completely converted me.

This band's next album was horrible, the self titled was decent, and their newest is SICK. their balls finally dropped.

Decent album, I really enjoyed it. Only problem I really had was that the opening and closing tracks were a little dull IMO
