Review Summary: One of Centinex's finest moemnts.

Centinex is one of the most underappreciated death metal bands from Sweden. They've been producing consistent content since 1990 and have made considerable progress since then. Decadence - Prophecies of Cosmic Chaos, compared to their previous releases, is their most technical album and it's the album where they use their melodic aspects to the full.

The album kicks off with Arrival Of The Spectrum Obscure. It's one of the fastest tracks of the record and it incorporates most the musical themes explored in the rest of the album but to a lesser extent. It's possible to find elements like growling backing vocals that would later be featured Mechanical Future in greater depth.

While the ideas on each track are different, the album's motif is a future overruled by fear. It's mostly present on the tracks Mechanical Future, New World Odyssey and Cold Deep Supremacy , where it takes the spotlight. It's execution is a bit overdone, making some tracks feel cheesy because of the lyrics.

My main gripe with this record is the drumming, on most tracks it's plain and I feel like it could've been a lot more. It shines on Target: Dimension XII and Misanthropic Darkzone where it does a great job at leading the rhythm and helps create the album's ever present opressive atmosphere.

Recommended Tracks:
Arrival Of The Spectrum Obscure
Target: Dimension XII
Mechanical Future

Thought it was well written for the most part, but felt a bit lacking. Maybe in your next review, you could go a bit more in depth to increase the length of it.

Also, some sentences felt awkwardly structured. For example, "Decadence - Prophecies of Cosmic Chaos, compared to their previous releases, is their most technical album and it's the album where they use their melodic aspects to the full," is a bit of a run-on sentence. You could easily fix that though.

Another problem with a sentence in this review that I have, is when you say, "My main gripe with this record is the drumming, on most tracks it's plain and I feel like it could've been a lot more." After the word drumming, you should put a period or semi-colon there instead of a comma. Again, another run-on sentence.

There's also a few grammar errors here and there, but I won't go too far into detail with that unless you want me to. You did fairly well for your first review though. Good job!
