I have massive respect for bands who are trying to keep the traditional metal spirit alive and Armored Dawn is one of them. However, their heavy/power metal doesn't do much for me as it lacks a certain charm or character and their songwriting, even though features some nice ideas and pounding choruses, isn't anything to write home about. Nevertheless, it's always a pleasure to come across guys who are striving to write quality metal and should they improve on their weaknesses, these guys can release a much better album.
