Don't believe the hype, guys. I mean yeah, the blending of technical death metal and romantic-period classical music does seem cool, but it's a bunch of gimmicky wank with no substance. Doofus are fine when they let those doom-laden powerchords ring out in the slow moments, but the sweeps during the fast moments are just boring and a sign of lazy songwriting. There are also a few jazz chords here and there, like they wanna tell us they're diverse or something. But in reality, it's haphazardly put together and just fucking lazy. You can do better, my dudes

I could continue listing the many failings of this release, providing evidence of how this
man's entire artistic personality appears to have been substituted for shit, or how his way
with a witty line and unique sense of humour have both deserted him. I won?t do this though,
it feels uncharitable to extend this post mortem beyond what is strictly necessary to impart
the level of my dissatisfaction, especially for a writer of such pedigree who's proven
himself countless times in the past. Perhaps this is the curse of being a born doofus, you're
always destined to vomit at one point or another in your lifespan, you just have to keep on
moving and hope it's not in the form of a Bandcamp EP.
