Serving as Vindsvals' first foray into minimalist dissonance territory, tMBoR creates a genuinely haunting soundscape courtesy of relentlessly hypnotic tremolos, near constant blast beats and desperate, harrowing shrieks. A direct precursor to the nightmarish opus that would come 2 years later, it admittedly suffers from a homogeneity and repetitiveness that its predecessor managed to eschew. Nonetheless tMBoR is a worthy addition to an incredibly unique discography.
