In formally introducing their new singer Linus Johansson (Trial/Black Cyclone), Sweden's Hypnos have decided to record a live album in the studio, featuring material from previous work. Instrumentally, the band is as solid as expected, but Johansson is not 100% comfortable in filling the vocal shoes of his predecessor, especially in the low pitch pockets, albeit he excellently sets his own tone in the bluesy/boogie-tinged "Nightmares". The above said, the release of new material is eagerly anticipated.
