Review Summary: Great release from "Scalene", showcasing their development as musicians and bringing in some awesome tracks.

While you are very likely to speak portuguese if you're searching for this review, I'm sorry to inform you that it'll be in English. This album is a clear sight of the band's evolution. In Scalene's first album (one of my favorite releases ever, but it still has its flaws), they were less experienced and had no background in music. Now, in their third full lenght studio album, Scalene presents a wonderfull mix of rock and alternative with influences from Brazil's popular music, and some of their best lyrical content. They added themes not seen before in the band's repertoire, such as the song "esc" that talks about how technology influences our lives, also bringing in their Brazilian side a little more (with influences from "MPB" and other populer music styles in Brazil).

Some songs really catch your attention, others not that much. But none-the-less all songs here are extremely memorable and you can tell each song apart from the starting riff, wich is great, because some of the band's earlier work used to sound too similar. They bring in superb lyricism even in the album's least likable song (in my opinion) wich is "cartão postal", some examples of great lyrics would be:
"Seeing only the good, not the bad, I put myself into an envelope and became a post card" (this was translated by me from the original lyric in portuguese, so it might be not 100% accurate).

Summarizing, it is an incredible release from, what could be called, Brazil's biggest rock band currently. This is a must listen to every Brazilian rock fan, and if you want to get an amazing sound even without speaking portuguese I'd recommend it too. May not be my favorite release from them, but it is a fantastic album.
My 3 favorite songs from the album would have to be "phi", "extremos pueris" and "heteronomia". Be sure to give these a closer look if you're gonna listen to the album.

Thank you for spending you're time reading this, I'd really recommend you to check the album. Also I'm sorry if I made any grammar mistakes, I'm Brazilian so English isn't really my first language.
