its a bit flat in parts but this is also surprising at times, I really loved the piano tracks honestly, particularly Glow Pt. II and Iridescent. Dissociate is also a notable track to check.

That little piano melody on the second half of Chill to the Marrow made my day. I love
it. I agree that with more low end and song dynamics could achieve its absolute
potential, but I enjoyed it for the most part.

Your tears, they're-a-drippin'
your heart, I'm-a-rippin'
I'm a freak in the sheets
but my game is-a-slippin'

but Motion is here,
and Dalton you'll fear
when he drops his fire
'cause he's without peer

but one must wonder
in the midst of the thunder
"why so many albums
for my ears to plunder?"

Your tears are my weapon
but for Mr. Dubois I am reppin'
if you don't wanna be stomped
away you best be steppin'!

Maybe Black Malachite is starting to fill that void of direction and progression that plagued some of his past albums, but I think this album still really lacks those qualities. Because this album seems to take a major theme detour in the second half, the problems are almost completely reversed. For example, I think the first half had fairly decent consistency and flow, but the mixing was a little odd and I didn't care for the way any of the songs were structured. The second half had much better mixing and more interesting individual tracks, but that part's consistency was really jagged and the tracklist just felt... wrong ("Goodbye" definitely should've been the last song, having the only two piano-isolated tracks at the end didn't make much sense at all). The interlude probably could've been placed earlier but I liked where it was and I was actually kinda impressed with it so that didn't matter too much. Overall, I think if he makes his core sounds a little more sharply produced and tasteful and if his future albums' organizations are a little better then he can start making some really impressive material. I really hope this helped.
